There are a number of different ways to groove to the music today we're going to talk about down grooves. Down grooves is where you're emphasizing the beat by moving your body...you guessed it...down.
Bend those knees homie. Don't let them lock when you stand up, keep those knees soft and listen to the music. Bounce in an even and steady pattern.
For some people this is a given, for some this is brand new information. This is where you start. Make that connection between your body and the music with a simple bounce.
Once you feel confident, start to two step. Step side to side keeping those soft, bouncy knees.
Practice makes perfect, get creative. The nice thing about hip hop is that there's a lot of freedom to create your movements. Get bouncing friends.
